I like the 3d

You did a good job on the modeling, but the animation popped some and the skinning on Barney looked a little weird around the joints. I would smooth out the weights some and when you move the bones try not to fully extend or at least quickly to avoid the limbs popping when animated.
The effects looked pretty good as well. I would have liked there to be more to the story and some more background elements to hide the edge of the ground, but yeah file size and the assignment. Oh, and if you had time to work on the textures, to make the gundam sort of beat up with scratches and battle damage and stuff.

Needs more FPS

The animation is pretty good and I like how you got the paper being set up in the start, but I think it could be better if you added more frames throughout to make the animation smoother.
